Allie ish back! Safe and sound and very happy! Lolll.
Landed late last night and straight back to work this morning. Don't really feel that tired though i'm kinda sick. Shows how much i enjoyed the trip...heh.
Work is craaaazeee man, but i'll get through it. Can't wait to start watching my Euro 2008!
Today i was stopped by a student doing survey for her school project. I hesitated for awhile, then decided to help her. Thinking back on the days when i had to do the same, my heart went out to her. I remembered how many people wouldn't even stop to say no and the times when they lied in your face that they're rushing for time. Somehow, i'm glad i stopped to help, cos i walked away feeling happy with a sense of accomplishment (lol...don't ask me why). Rather that try to walk away in an unfeeling manner without helping anyone, this is a much much better option. Not that i would have lost anything from it...i would have felt bad if i walked away without helping. Haha...
Japan was fantastic. Loved the weather, the place, the people, the FOOD, the cute guys (and girls :P) and the entire experience. I just hope that i haven't been a bad travel buddy >.<. If there's anything i miss about home, it has to be my family, church and my favourite kaya toast! Lolll...
Planning to update the travel itinerary day by day...hope i don't give up! :P.
Day 1 - Flight to Tokyo Narita Airport
Finally, flying on SIA this time round! On the new airbus A380 and at the new terminal 3! Weeeeeeee
My travel buddy - ger, with her beloved Yosef!
Me on A380! The plane is HUGE!
The very high-tech and classy A380 in-flight entertainment. They had a HUGE range of movies, shows and functions! You can even plug in your thumb drive and work on the screen like it's a PC! Pity i didn't watch Sky of Love again...it was on the A380! Only watched Enchanted though...and it was totally cute!
The A380 breakfast meal - omelette and chicken sausage with bread and muffin! Yummy!
Fantastic views from the plane...courtesy of ger's camera =)
Day 2 - Narita Airport and Harajuku
Landed in Tokyo! Look at the huge airbus!
My colleague told me beforehand that we should try to sit near the front of the plane such that we will clear the immigration part faster. And never did i expect the queues to be soooooo long!
And it resulted in two pouty girls...who had to wait almost 45 mins to clear the procedures...lol.
Finally, outta the immigration and head for the trains! Decided to take the Narita Express to our hotel at Ikebukuro, but we missed the train so we took the one to Shinjuku instead. The N'ex trains are so pretty!
Me on N'ex.
View from N'ex - Japanese fields
Dropped off our luggage at the hotel after a long and tiring walk dragging our luggage up the stairs of Shinjuku station and immediately headed to Harajuku! Look at the crowd on Sundays. It is CROWDED! Harajuku station's exterior is very unique and pretty though...
Look at the crowd at the most popular shopping street - Takeshita Dori. Gosh!
Hungry girls went searching for food...and the first thing we thought of having is ramen! Spotted this cute looking ramen shop and decided to give it a try!
Happy girls waiting for their food!
The shop menu. Interesting, right behind this menu "wall" were two China girls eating opposite us! The menu was like a divider! Lolll..
My ramen! The stock was nice but not impressive to me...lol
And next, we headed for the infamous crepes at Harajuku! I went for my favourite banana chocolate flavour while ger went for cheesecake. Absolutely yummilicious!
Look at how happy she is...lol!
Shopping at Harajuku! Look at the colourful earrings at Paris Kids!
Cuteeee socks at Mighty Soxer!
And the HUGE Daiso with 5 floors!
We also happen to pass by these two guys who were performing a skit...they were funny!
Pretty flowers by the roadside!
Mushrooms at the supermarket...the mushrooms and veges look sooo yummy and fresh!
Totally drained after a day of shopping following the overnight flight. Back to the hotel for some quality sleep before Disneyland! |
