Allie in Tokyo Part 4
Before i continue my Japan travel diary, there's something i wish to note. Brought my "car" bag to work today...and it received a whole lot of attention. From the little girl standing next to me at the traffic light, to my client who asked me if i bought COE for it, to people shopping for Converse shoes and thought my bag was on sale. Lol....that was funny. The salesboy at Converse thought it was cute and told me 小心被人驾走...lol hilarious!

Day 5 - Asakusa and Roppongi Hills

Kappabashi and Asakusa day! Weeeeeeeee! I've always wanted to go to Kappabashi cos i've heard so much about it. And true enough it didn't disappoint!

The icon of kappabashi - the huge face of a chef!

Fake food...one of the many finds at Kappabashi!

It was fun browsing through the stuffs at the street. I bought some Hello Kitty cookie/vegetable cutters, frosting nozzless and very pretty paper napkins!

After walking through Kappabashi, we headed to Asakusa to meet ger's Japanese friend at Sensoji Temple. Here's us at the iconic big red lantern!

The looonggg Nakamise shopping street...with LOADS of food!

See what i found...my favourite Dorayaki! Allie looooveeesss Dorayaki. Fyi, it's 鸡蛋糕 with red bean filling :P. Allie loves 鸡蛋糕! This stall makes Dorayaki fresh and it's suuuuuuper yummy when it's piping hot!

Can't resist the scrumptious Dorayaki and i bought three to try! One for each of us! (And after eating it, i bought another 10 for myself...which i finished during the trip! wahahahaha)

The very crowded Sensoji Temple.

Us camera whoring again...lol.

Here's Kaori, ger's Japanese friend and our guide for the day! She was great, explained alot of things and helped us with the language. My limited Japanese can't get me too far...lolllll.

Ger at the place where we drop 100 yen to shake something outta a metal can (sorry but this is the best i can do to describe it >.<).

And both she and I got a bad reading (though i don't believe)...

And we were told to tie it on this stand...to lock the bad luck there!

Japanese schoolgirls offering incense at the temple.

Japanese schoolgirls at the well.

Sensoji has many nice scenic areas...and here are some pictures i took...

After visiting Sensoji, we went for lunch. It's curry risu for lunch today! And i ordered Tonkatsu curry....and it was very very good! The tonkatsu was very well done, crispy, juicy and not too oily. The curry was very yummy as well! We all ordered half portions so that we'll not waste food :P.

Following lunch, we're off to Ueno's Ameyoko Market! we had loadsa fun trying on shades, hats and accessories!

Shopping is tiring...lol. Next we're headed for some scenery viewing at Roppongi Hills. And on our way there, we saw pretty flowers again! Japan is fullll of pretty prettty floooooweeerrrs!

Giant spider!

The building we went to view the Tokyo night scenery!

Girls camera whoring inside the lift...lolllll.

Here's Tokyo from Roppongi Hills Observation Deck...just before sunset!

Little did i know i was being used as a specimen for camera testing >.<

Tokyo Tower! It doesn't look very good in the day though...red, white and steely...lol.

The open-air observation deck at the higher levels....my favourite place! The guide there took a photo of us with the Tokyo Tower in the background!

I stayed there staring at the Tokyo scenery, Tokyo Tower and staring into space for a loooong time, oblivious to what ger and Kaori were doing behind me. Love the feeling of the cold wind against my skin, the mesmerizing scenery, the night lights. It makes me wanna stay there forever and ever....

Interestingly, this place is called Lovers sanctuary...lol.

Shots of Tokyo Tower at night...stark difference from the day shots...it's sooo pretty!

Us with the Roppongi Hills building replica :).

Couldn't bear to leave my beautiful scenery and head home (actually, more of my spot on top of the building facing Tokyo Tower :P). And see what we found at one of the subway stations....lol.

Japanese girls love to do makeup on the subway trains...and they are very committed to their beauty regime! They bring along their curling irons, full makeup kit to touch up on the go! I wonder how they do it >.<...i can't do it for nuts. My small bags is already a HUGE constraint...lol!
